There are five different gardens within the Portland Japanese Garden: the Sand and Stone Garden, the Strolling Pond, the Natural Garden, the Flat Garden, and the Tea Garden. As with all garden photography, I look for leading lines. Volunteers with Portland Japanese Garden must: (1) be at least 16 years of age (2) be able to commit to a minimum of two volunteer shifts per month. Volunteers who commit 40 hours or more of service to Portland Japanese Garden in a year will receive a voucher they can apply to a Garden membership.
