May 29, 2023 · Hello, I’m having a problem with my 1999 F250 with the 6.8 V10, During cold starts, it starts and immediately stalls 2-4 times (depending on outside air temp, warmer = less stalls) before it starts and runs. Using a scanner I found the coolant temp sensor to be reading about 3 volts when it should be reading about .5 volts at 190 deg. Starting with the 6.0L all the Ford diesels since then have used the same transmission bolt pattern as the gasoline modular engines. So as long as the ZF6 is not from a 7.3L it will work on your V10. Or you could just buy a rebuilt ZF6 from Rock Auto. Actually the ZF6-650 was available in 2003 on 5.4 and 6.8/V10.WWR. 1999 to 2016 Super Duty - 6.8 v10 running like a miss - So my truck at idle is noticable but not super bad but when in gear is shakes rough. Hardly noticable when driving. It had gotten new plugs, coils, injectors, air filter, fuel filter, intake manifold and throttle body gaskets. I'm not sure what else it could be....

I'd say Mishimoto $$$ is the most popular rad for this generation of fords. I think that includes the V10 as well. yea, it’s hard to spend the money on that.
